Dan is the Head of Music at Kingham Hill School and the Chapel Music Tutor and Organist of
St Hugh's College, Oxford. At Kingham Hill he is responsible for teaching the GCSE and A Level courses, as well as managing a lively KS3 curriculum in which every child has the opportunity to learn at least one instrument during Year 7 & 8.
At St Hugh's College he works with a well-established choir of mixed undergraduates singing weekly choral evensongs during term. At Kingham Hill he conducts three choirs, including the chapel choir which sings regular services of choral matins and evensong during term.
Until taking over at Kingham Hill full-time in January 2015 he delivered the A Level Music course at Oxford Tutorial College in the city centre, as well as teaching instrumental lessons on organ and piano (classical and jazz) at Rye St Antony School. He also still maintains a small private teaching practice, based in Oxford and surrounding areas, where he teaches organ, as well as tutoring A Level and ABRSM Music Theory grades.
