Dan is the Head of Music at Kingham Hill School and the Music Tutor and Organist of St Hugh's College, Oxford. At Kingham Hill he is responsible for teaching the GCSE and A Level courses, as well as managing a lively KS3 curriculum in which every child has the opportunity to learn at least one instrument during Year 7 & 8.
At St Hugh's College he works with a well-established choir of mixed undergraduates singing weekly choral evensongs during term. At Kingham Hill he recently reformed the school choir which now sings regular services of choral matins and evensong during term..
Until taking over at Kingham Hill full-time in January 2015 he delivered the A Level Music course at Oxford Tutorial College in the city centre, as well as teaching instrumental lessons on organ and piano (classical and jazz) at Rye St Antony School. He also still maintains a private teaching practice, based in Jericho, where he teaches organ and piano, as well as tutoring A Level and ABRSM Music Theory grades.
